There was controversy back in 2002, what a great by the way, when Sears and Kmart and all the affiliates were in perfect harmony, anyway, Rob Sherman Advocacy Group protested a doormat sold at The Great Indoors stores, particularly the Schaumburg, Illinois store. I could see why this would stir up issues because Sears is one of America's most recognisable retailers, and they are selling Old Glory for you to wipe your feet on.
After the issue was recognised by corporate, the ad was pulled and the product was discontinued immediately.
